What did I do?

As the Producer and Production Manager on Procrastinators, I guided the project through every major stage of pre-production, shaping both the creative foundation and the logistical framework that allowed our team to move confidently into production. My work began with breaking down the script and translating the director’s vision into a workable plan. This included outlining the needs of each scene and understanding how to support every department across a two-day shoot that moved between locations such as Oakwood Cemetery, a hospital parking lot, a restaurant booth, and a soccer field.

From there, I built the production schedule, mapping out availability for cast and crew while balancing academic schedules and location access. I coordinated availability, managed location access, and ensured that each shoot day stayed within our designated wrap time. I organized equipment pickups, supported crew safety, and kept communication clear across the team.

I led the casting process from outreach to selection. I drafted character breakdowns for Emma and Maggie, coordinated casting calls across Syracuse University departments and industry Facebook groups, reviewed self-tapes, and handled all communication with talent. I also secured a professional editor for post-production and found an additional sound operator to support one of our shoot days. My contributions extended into crew management as well.

Behind the scenes, I co-created the production documents that anchored the film: the production schedule, call sheets, casting packets, script breakdowns, and internal trackers. Throughout pre-production, I also scheduled weekly meetings with the Director and DP to ensure that creative decisions would be possible to shoot.
